#4 – Connecting Your Bluetooth Scanner to Profit Bandit
Lots of Profit Bandit users use bluetooth scanners to make scanning faster and easier.
One of the most common emails I get from Profit Bandit users is about problems with their scanners. And they’re really easy to solve!
- Problem: Scanner only pastes the barcode into the search box. I still have to search manually!
- Likely Solution: Set your scanner up to work in keyboard mode on your iPhone and in Serial mode on Android. Make sure you’re connected with SerialMagic Gears on Android!
- Problem: My scanner beeps too loudly.
- Likely Solution: Contact the manufacturer of your scanner. There may be a special set of barcodes you can scan to enable special features, including volume. If you use a SerialIO or Opticon scanner, print and scan these codes. Thanks to SellerEngine JJ for finding that link for me!
