Q4 starts in less than a month. Have you started getting ready?
If you haven’t here’s a checklist to get you started:
- Are you going to be approved to sell toys during the holiday season? Take a look at these guidelines to see if there’s anything you need to improve.
- Get your supplies in order. You’re not going to have the time to stock up on boxes, tape, labels, toner and other supplies once the holiday rush begins, so spend a few hours a week now, getting everything ready.
- Start shipping FBA inventory now. Don’t get caught out-of-stock during the holiday season. Start sending inventory in soon and it’ll get checked in with plenty of time to spare.
- Plan. Plan. Plan. Decide now how you’re going to allocate your time during Q4. Will you be scouting as much or will you try to focus on shipping the inventory you have on hand? Who’s going to watch the kids (or the cats, if you’re like me)? A great tip I heard recently is to start freezing meals like lasagnas, casseroles and soups now so you’ll have one less thing to worry about during the holiday madness.
- Review your shipping settings. If you’re going to handle fulfillment on your own, make sure that your shipping costs are accurate. Buyers expect quick delivery during the holidays and you can provide it, if your shipping costs are accurate.
- Read over Holiday Selling Best Practices. Amazon provides a guide for how to be the best seller possible during the holiday. It mentions topics like responding to negative feedback, monitoring metrics like ODR and more. Take a look at it!
Do you have any tips or tricks that you use to get ready for Q4 and to make the holiday season easier on your business? I’d love to hear them!
