Fba global export

  • August 23, 2012
Reading time: < 1 minutes

Yesterday Amazon announced a new service for FBA sellers called FBA Export (note that you’ll need to be logged in to Seller CentralAmazon Seller Central is a portal or a h... More to view that link).

FBA Export will allow FBA sellers in the United States to offer a great deal of their inventories (not just media) for sale all around the world.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Sign up here. Note that there are no additional fees for Sellers associated with FBA export.
  2. See which of your items are available for FBA Export here. FBA Export will make all of these items available for sale worldwide (with some restrictions, including no books to Canada).
  3. Buyers in other countries will be able to order your products and will be charged up-front for shipping plus estimated import taxes, duty and customs fees.
  4. Amazon answers questions about the shipment and continues to process refunds and returns as needed.

It’s also important to note that now you’ll need to include the ISO 2-letter country code when creating an International Multi-Channel Fulfillment Order. Don’t guess on the country codes. DE is Germany NOT Denmark. I’ve learned that one the hard way 🙂

And finally, If you’re using Media Worldwide, the current export service for selling BMVD worldwide,   Amazon recommends that you switch to FBA Export.

Let me know how this service works out for you!

Thanks to my online pal, Suzanne of FBA moms for bringing this to my attention.

Ok, I have a question about FBA export. I have a regular FBA account, and I’m new to FBA…I also use Profit Bandit (Thanks!!).

So right now I can only sell in the USA, but with export, (for free, no extra charges, changes, etc) I can ship around the world to the places that Amazon allows currently? I don’t do anything “extra”, I just wait for the items to be purchased and that’s it? Any catches, fees, etc? Or is it just a great way to get “extra” customers for nothing? Thanks!
