Japan Doubles Consumption Tax – Starting in April of 2014, the national consumption (sales) tax will increase to 8% before topping out at 10% in October of 2015. Currently, it sits at 5%. The planned increase is intended to avoid a “Greece-like financial crisis.” Any thoughts on how it will affect online sales, especially on Amazon.jp?
