Not just for new sellers

We’ve also heard that Amazon is slowly rolling out this upgrade to existing accounts as well.

This will make it much simpler for North American sellers to sell in both US and Canada.

Looking down the road

We’ve been hearing rumors of Amazon.com sellers being invited to sell on an upcoming Amazon Mexico 3rd-party marketplace. This unified North American Account will likely apply to Amazon Mexico at some point in the future as well.

We see this as the next logical step for Amazon, similar to the unified European accounts that allow sellers to manage inventory and sell on multiple European marketplaces from a single Seller Central account.

Check your Amazon account

If your account has been upgraded, the American flag and “www.Amazon.com” at the top of Seller Central will turn into a drop down menu allowing you to access Amazon.ca.

If you’re not sure if your account has been upgraded, you can also check with Amazon seller support.

What do you think?

Are you excited about having access to new customers on a new Amazon marketplace without the hassle of setting up a new Amazon account? When your account is upgraded will you start selling on a new marketplace? Why or why not?
