Prosper Show with SellerEngine

  • February 23, 2016
Reading time: 2 minutes

I’d just started a new marketing job at SellerEngine Software, when I received the first email about the Prosper Show. Being new to the job, new to the Amazon seller industry and it being a new show, I wasn’t sure. I’ve attended quite a few trade shows and conferences, and put a few on myself. It’s never easy, even when you’ve been doing it for years.

But, our team decided we should do the trade show trifecta – speak, attend and exhibit.

plane with propellerWe put together a marketing campaignSellers and vendors have a variety of ad... More, invited some existing and potential customers to meet with us at the show, our CEO put together his presentations(!), and we packed up the booth.

Attendance exceeded expectations, so we had to ship extra swag for the attendee bags (For those of you who attended, those black curly plastic things are iPhone holders).

I don’t think I’ve had a show go smoother. Everything arrived, nothing was missing. The convention center & logistics people were friendly and helpful. The speakers were intelligent and on target with the presentations. The presentation rooms were often standing room only.

The attendees were high caliber and professional, and were looking to improve their business processes,SellerEngine booth prosper partnerships and/or marketplaces.  Valuable advice given at the conference on repricing, scouting and services as well. The SellerEngine booth was constantly busy.  Hats off to James Thompson & the rest of the Prosper Show team for putting together a great conference.

As a marketer, coming from an in-house position, I found the sessions on the difference between tradition marketing (SEO, PPC, organic), and marketing on Amazon the most interesting, but that is no surprise. What did you find the most interesting at the show? And if you didn’t attend, what would you like to hear about at the next show you attend? Let us know in the comments section below.
