What happens if I don’t subscribe?
Beginning on June 4, only those users with active subscriptions will have unlimited access to Profit Bandit.

Important Updates & Clarifications:
If you do not take action and create a Profit Bandit subscription (and don’t wish to sign up at this time), then there is nothing for you to cancel.
If you have no interest in subscribing at this time, you can continue using the version of Profit Bandit that you currently have.
Here’s how:
- When the next version of Profit Bandit is released, do not update. One way to do this is to make sure that auto-updates are turned off on your phone.
- Depending on your Android device, you may be able to disable updates for Profit Bandit from within Google Play under My Apps > Profit Bandit > Settings.
- Do not uninstall, delete or remove the current version of Profit Bandit from your phone.
- If you ever lose access to the current version of Profit Bandit on your phone, contact support@profitbanditapp.com and we’ll do our best to provide a solution for you.

This is terrible. The only thing that prevented me from going to scanpower was the subscrption fee. I (like many other sellers) will be saying goodbye to PB and hello to SP. Good luck. I hope this terrible decision doesn’t make you lose your business.

You should know that anyone who subscribes to our repricing software will receive a free Profit Bandit subscription.
I am sure I will subscribe since Profit Bandit is amazing! I was wondering though, is there “limited” use for non subscribers?

My wife and I both use Profit Bandit to scan at the same time. Will we have to have two subscriptions to do this now or will one subscription work since it is just tied to one Amazon FBA account?
While I regret this app is now going subscription based, I do understand. Having said that, I would suggest the following:
1) Eliminate the requirement for Bluetooth scanner activation fee
2) Provide a annual subscription option with discount
3) Consider a lower cost option for metered scanning

Also anyone who doesn’t subscribe will get 10 scans per week at no cost.
Is this in addition to the $49 for scanning functionality? I hope not because I just upgraded to add scanning and would hate to have my purchases of Profit Bandit and the scanning function retroactively crippled. If not, will likely be requesting a refund and switching to a different platform.

Thanks for the response. I think what stings the most is that the app hasn’t offered any new functions, but now SellerEngine has decided to take away the functionality that we paid for way back when unless we pay many times the original purchase price. You essentially have a gun to our heads.
It’s also interesting that accounts were introduced to “simplify support” followed by a paid review program, and now an exponential price increase without any notice.
I apologize if this comes across as hyperbol or snark, but I have to wonder if the powers that be at SellerEngine consulted any PR professionals before announcing this change and planning it with so little notice. I certainly don’t feel like I can trust SellerEngine at this point, and I feel like I have wasted time and money investing in a scanner and an upgrade that I will likely avandon.
It isn’t that it isn’t valuable or that the price point is beyond my means, but the lack of notice or consideration for those of us who were sold the value proposition of a single purchase only to be abandoned by SellerEngine leaves me looking for other options on principle. SellerEngine has given me and a bunch of other customers the proverbial finger, and I don’t feel compelled to hang around for the webinars or future improvements. Why would you not add some significant value before asking for so much more money?

So you will be refunding existing users if we don’t wish to continue using Profit Bandit after the monthly payment requirement?
If you choose not to subscribe you will continue to have limited access to Profit Bandit in the form of 10 free scans per week.
You may also choose to not upgrade to the new version when it becomes available next week and continue to use the current version of Profit Bandit as is.
So there won’t be any limitations if we stick with the old version and don’t upgrade?
I can understand the need to charge a monthly fee. The rate is very reasonable and I love your service.

hey they have a great product that makes me money …its worth much more to me… sell one book and your monthly subscription is paid up.
I saw in response to a prior comment that if you subscribe to one of your repricing software packages, that the Profit Bandit subscription is included free of charge. I currently subscribe to Sellery, so how can I have my account reconciled since I mistakenly signed up for the Profit Bandit subscription with my credit card?

Once this bridge is crossed, I will be looking for the development team to jump through flaming hoops to deal with updates and fixes. I would say PB has in the past far exceeded my expectations in that regard, but those expectations were for an app I had paid $15 one time fee for. For $120/year, which is more than Amazon Prime for goodness sake, I will be expecting premium support and response time for an app which is only one tool in my business.
I cant wait to see what $120 gets me in a scanning app. Perhaps the phone could shake when it is in close proximity to profitable products? Or remove negative feedback? Or print money?

Will a pro-merchant account still be a requirement after June 4th?
Yes. All new Profit Bandit users must have an active Pro Merchant Account.
I just signed up for the subscription. Not happy the way this was introduced but will live with the monthly fee long enough to see what upgrades are presented.
It was my understanding the subscription began June 4, 2014. I just signed up and my next charge is 6/29/14. What do I get for my week of early subscribing? Would have thought my subscription would have started on 6/4.

Not at all. All you need to do is to create a single subscription using one of your Profit Bandit accounts. Then sign in using that account on both devices.
This works for couples sharing an account or small businesses who have employees out scouting for them.

Secondly I am UK based and posted months ago on your Facebook page about that fact that the link from Profit Bandit goes directly to the US version of CamelCamelCamel. As you can imagine this is useless for me in the UK. Will you be able to update Profit Bandit so it provides the correct data?

I admit it is weird the way this was introduced BUT, I had already priced other scanning services and you still come out way ahead in terms of monthly cost. I honestly can’t complain. 🙂

We have one Amazon seller account and scan at the same time to maximize our time while we are out. Since there is only one seller account is there a way to share the monthly subscription? When is the update coming? Tonight is my big weekly scouting time and I want to try it out.
I am just starting out and chose to use sell as an individual. Why do I have to have a pro account on Amazon to use your app?
Access to the Amazon API (what Profit Bandit and other 3rd-party software use) is restricted to Amazon Pro Merchants only.
Without a Pro Merchant account, you can’t allow Profit Bandit to access the API on your behalf because you can’t access the API.

My intention was to not upgrade to the paid version and stick with the original PB for now. Yesterday, while out scanning a notice comes up on my phone that says I have to subscribe. I thought if I chose not to upgrade this would not happen. How can I fix this?
