    Hello,
I have 2 questions. First, I recently found some excellent deals online and ended up purchasing a large quantity of each. Prior to these purchases I had never bought in this bulk before in that I’ve never had the cash available that I do now. When I purchased the items the sales price on AZ was well above the 3x’s rule, but unfortunately by the time I received them and shipped them into FBA – the price took a nose dive. For example, one of the items I bought for $3.00 and it was selling for $19.99 on AZ. By the time I paid for shipping to the FBA facility my unit cost was $3.88. I bought 60 units. However, when I finally got them in my inventory the price dropped to $11.00. I listed mine at $12.25 because I did not want to get into a pricing war, but unfortunately when one person dropped their price numerous other people followed suit (most likely because of automatic repricers). The trend kept going until now the current lowest FBA price is $7.98. I have dropped my price to $10.50, but that’s really as low as I want to go, because even with that I’ll only be making a few cents per unit (What a buzz kill! Haha). Anyway the sales rank is good – last I checked it was in the 4,000’s in electronics. So my question is, what should I do? Do you think the price will ever recover?

My second question is when you are sourcing in retail stores are you guys finding stuff every time? I’ve went out sourcing (in the physical retail store) and have come home with nothing on numerous occasions. And its a little disappointing considering I usually go out for 4 to 5 hours at a time. I would even venture to say that I come home with nothing more times than not! The stores I go to are Wal-Mart, Target, TJ Max, Home Goods, Ollies, Kmart, Macy’s, Kholes, Home Depot, Lowes, Toys ‘R Us, Goodwill, Tuesday Mornings, etc. Also I stick very close to the 3 x’s rule, and at a minimum try to double my investment (I use the Profit Bandit), and generally don’t purchase anything higher than 150,000 in sales rank. Am I hitting the wrong stores? Are my standards too high?

I would very much appreciate the advice. I have been quite successful, in my opinion, thus far, but have definitely made a lot of mistakes and still have so much to learn. I’m eager to hear what you guys have to say! Thank you so much!
