Amazon News

This week in Amazon news, Amazon’s grocery business, Amazon Fresh, grows, a new office for Amazon in The City and insights into the future of delivery.

The Future of Physical Delivery – Will Amazon use drones to achieve same-day delivery? This tongue-in-cheek article is good for a chuckle. But it does talk about serious  possibilities of same day delivery, including a look at Amazon Lockers, the increased number of retail warehouses available to Amazon and more.

Publishing Revolves Around Us Now – Amazon’s newly announced central London office is just around the corner from UK publishing giants like Bloomsbury and Simon & Schuster UK . Great article about the evolution of the neighborhood and Amazon’s UK presence.

Amazon’s Grocery Expansion – Amazon Fresh, local grocery delivery once limited to Seattle, will soon start up in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Why expand now? Simply put, Taxes! Now that Amazon has made sales tax agreements in California, there’s no worry about establishing nexus there. So let those Amazon Fresh trucks roll!

I like very much the idea of a Grocery market in my local Area, I guess Amazon is the leading innovation in E commerce in the US.
