Yesterday was a lovely day in Portland, so I led a field trip of SellerEngine employees armed with Profit Bandit down to our local Goodwill.
We started off scanning books and boy, did we not find anything at all. We thought we found a score when we came across a stack of shrink-wrapped photography books that were selling for nearly $75 in new condition. Unfortunately, on closer inspection, the books weren’t in great shape after all and had just been re-shrinkwrapped. At least we noticed before buying them.
Then we moved on to my favorite section, toys and games. A couple of resellers (although not carrying smart phones) barely beat me to a like-new copy of Star Wars Trivial Pursuit. They excitedly said that it had all its pieces!
Finally though, we found something worth buying! The California Raisins board game for only $1.00! In pretty good shape and with all its parts and instructions — this has profit written all over it.
While we were scanning, one of our phones was having trouble getting a reception in the store, so we used Profit Bandit’s batch scan mode to quickly scan a bunch of barcodes. Then we moved to a different part of the store or even ducked outside for a minute where we could get a signal and then quickly reviewed the profit for each scan that we had made.
