How’d you get started selling on Amazon?
It was 2011. I was unemployed and was wondering how I could use Ebay to make a full-time income. I did a lot of reading and research and came across an article on how some ebay sellers were testing out Amazon as a revenue generating possibility.
I looked into Amazon FBA, read Chris Green’s book Retail Arbitrage (now called Arbitrage) and jumped in head first. In just a few months, I was able to make selling on Amazon my full-time job. I now blog about how others can make a full-time income with FBA over at FullTimeFBA.com.
Now I sell anything I can! Toys, games, books, grocery, health and beauty, home and kitchen! I make a full-time income selling on Amazon. I work from home and I’m my own boss.
I could not run my Amazon business without Profit Bandit. It’s like my little digital business partner. We’re in this together!
How did you find out about Profit Bandit?
I first heard about Profit Bandit about two years ago. I kept hearing everyone on reseller Facebook groups talking about the app and how awesome it was. I had to download it that same day.
What do you like most about Profit Bandit?
I like how Profit Bandit saves me time and makes me money. It saves me time by doing all of the ROI math for me, as well as creating a buy list for me to use when it’s time to list my latest inventory to Amazon.
But most of all, I love how it makes me money by allowing me to find great items worth reselling on Amazon.
What’s your best Profit Bandit story?
I’ll never forget going to a garage sale and finding some still shrink-wrapped Super Mario NES video game cartridge boxes. They didn’t have a UPC number, so I used Profit Bandit’s search to find the right product page.
I was floored to see that these games were currently selling for about $350!!! I used the CamelCamelCamel link inside the Profit Bandit to confirm that the price and sales rank of this product was consistent! I was able to buy 4 of these Super Mario games for $25 each and sell them for $399.99!
Have you ever taught anyone else to use Profit Bandit?
Both of my parents are thinking about doing FBA as a part-time job when they retire. I taught them how to use Profit Bandit. They immediately went out and found some great items for resale. My mom will still wait to start FBA until after she retires next year, but my dad has decided to start selling on FBA as soon as possible!
