After last week’s post about repricing software, I got a few great questions from Amazon sellers on Facebook.

On to the questions and their answers:
What kind of encryption does SellerEngine use?
We’re using the HTTPS protocol, with a 2048 bits key encryption.
More important is that our communication with Amazon is limited to two things:
- Requesting information about their account, for which we only specify your Seller ID and our own developer credentials (we don’t send any personal information). Thus we get your inventory, the competition information and your orders.
- Sending uploads, which only contain the information Amazon needs to make the offer available on the website. We actually use the inventory loader file template, which contains less information than the category specific templates. I’m talking about sku, asin (product id – it could be upc, ean, isbn etc…), quantity, price, condition, comments and lead time to ship (if needed).
Can you set repricing rules at the time of listing?
Yes! In Sellery, you could create a smart list of items that are new to your inventory and then reprice them a certain way. This way you could just list items and have them repriced according to this existing rule without any intervention on your part!
If I make changes to repricer on my desktop PC at the office will those changes show up on my laptop at home when I log in there?
With SellerEngine Plus, you would need to copy your reprice schemas to both systems or recreate them on the other. With Sellery, which runs in your web browser, you can access your system from any computer, anytime, anywhere.
I use Fillz for my books but don’t do FBA through it. I have two questions. First, can Seller Engine Plus do multi-venue processing ? Second, can SellerEngine only pull and work with my FBA inventory and ignore my merchant-fulfilled inventory so if I only want to use SellerEngine Plus for FBA I could do that?
