Amazon and EBay Sales Signal Subdued Holiday Shopping – Reduced sales growth (but growth just the same) in the month of September has some analysts predicting a slower start to the holiday buying season. What expectations do you have for this year’s holiday season? Are you ready? Take a look at our tips for preparing for the holiday rush and make sure you’re not missing anything.

Wal-Mart Plans for Same-Day Delivery – One of the most frequently discussed stories this year has been speculation about Amazon’s plans for same-day delivery. And now Wal-Mart is testing that delivery option for some online orders, beginning with electronics, toys and sporting goods. Wal-Mart currently has 10 times the overall sales volume of Amazon, but only 1/10th of the online sales. Do you think this will help Wal-Mart boos their online sales?

Kindle Fire HD and Paperwhite Sales Make Amazon No Profit – The newest Kindles aren’t making Amazon any profit and are being sold at cost. This isn’t a huge surprise, as this has been more or less the case for digital media players dating back to the iPod and Xbox. Are any of you 3rd-party media sellers worried about the impact that these could have on your business over the longterm?

Amazon Buys Seattle Headquarters – Amazon is buying it’s South Lake, Seattle headquarters for a cool $1.16 Billion (with a B). I guess they had to do something with all the cash they have on hand.
