Sellery success story: Anthony Taylor

It’s been a long time since we’ve shared one of our customers success stories; too long, in fact. We’d like to tell you about Anthony Taylor, one of our very first Sellery customers. Anthony started using our software shortly after launching his media retail business in 2012.

Few of our clients have the time to share their stories with us, but those who do will always find us eager to listen. Today we’re sharing the story of a company based in the UK, specializing in the online retail of CDs, DVDs, Vinyl and Video Games. They operate on various international marketplaces, including Amazon, and they’ve been loyal customers of ours from the get-go.

Q: What’s your overall impression of Sellery?

A: Our company has been using Sellery for over three years. It is, in our opinion, a “best in class” repricer.

Q: How has Sellery made a difference to your business?

A: Sellery’s made a great deal of difference since the beginning. One of the things I would stress is that they welcome feedback from their customers, and subsequently change the software to meet new needs and expectations.

One example in this direction is the creation of the “Custom Fields” feature. I’ve suggested this feature some time ago, and even if it was not implemented on the spot, since the development team has priorities and development plans set up in advance, my request was eventually implemented. This is now one of the features I find most useful, since I can input any data that I need either to group my inventory based on it, or build it in my pricing strategy.

Another feature that I use often, and that is definitely a real help for my business, is the SmartList feature. I can group my inventory based on sales, sales rank, FBA quantity with time to name just a few.

Q: What should Amazon sellers know before they sign up for Sellery?

A: First things first, it takes some time and commitment to set up properly. If you want to spend 5 minutes setting up a repricer, then look at other (basic) tools like Appeagle or RepricerExpress.
Secondly, running it in virtual mode, and testing it on a small portion of your SKUs to minimise any risk of inventory loss, while you work out your strategies, is essential.

Q: What are the main benefits of the software, in your opinion?

A: There are a few things that make it better than other repricers:

Q: What has working with SellerEngine been like for you?

A: SellerEngine have been around for a long time, as far as repricers are concerned, and you can tell. They are experienced and knowledgeable. They react to changes quickly, and protect their customers.

Q: How supportive is the SellerEngine team?

A: The quality of the support is fantastic. If we have issues the replies are professional and prompt. While phone support isn’t the primary contact method, they are not afraid to call you to resolve the situation, when it is needed (quite rare in this sector).

Q: Some final thoughts you’d like to share with our readers?

A: In conclusion, the product, the company support and the developing team are all great. If you need a high-quality repricer, and are prepared to put some work in to get the best, then Sellery is an excellent partner.
