Arizona to Consider Online Sales Tax Issue – Another week, another state starts to implement plans to collect sales tax from online merchants (namely Amazon). This time, it’s Arizona and while they haven’t made any concrete plans yet, it seems like this is another step towards the inevitability of ubiquitous Amazon sales tax. Except of course, in states without a sales tax. Hooray for living in Oregon!!

Amazon Critic Gets Help from Amazon – Richard Russo, a novelist who’s a leading critic of Amazon, got a big boost in sales from Amazon last week. Amazon sent out an email recommending his book Interventions. The Sales Rank for the book quickly went from over 200,000 to 1,299. A pretty big jump!

And speaking of Sales Rank, have you taken a look at the Sales Rank Infographic put together by the SellerEngine Professional Services team? It shows how sales volume and frequency directly relate to the calculation of Sales Rank, as well as how Sales Rank “decays” over time. I think it’s really neat and hope you do, too!
