Weekly news round-up july 20 2012

AmazonNews

I’m a little disappointed with the number of Amazon news stories out there this week! Maybe it’s just a summer lull and things will pick up as we get closer to Q4.

Online Sales Tax is Coming – So far, all of the online sales tax articles that I’ve been seeing have been on sites catering to an older or more business-centric audience. So I was surprised to see this article on Jezebel. I think this is a sign that this issue is really becoming mainstream and that it’s on a lot of people’s minds, not just Amazon sellers and brick and mortar business owners. What do you think?

AppEagle Repricing Glitch – Earlier this week, AppEagle suffered from a bug that caused some of its users items to be repriced at $.01 resulting in big losses for some sellers. As a seller this is the nightmare scenario when using a repricer. And as the developer of a repricer, this is a nightmare as well. I feel bad for both AppEagle and their users and hope that they get everything sorted out soon!
