When an item stored at an Amazon fulfillment center is about to be disposed of because it’s not worth the cost of returning it to you, then Amazon will dispose of it. But this can only happen if you’ve logged into your FBA inventory report and specifically created a ‘Disposal Order’ for that item. Disposal orders cost money, but Amazon tends to offer them for free several times a year, especially when they need space, as seen here.
